The 2020 Matthews Rosé was crafted from one vineyard on the Royal Slope AVA. Farmed using sustainable practices, the vines were hand-harvested early in the morning of October 17th, 2020. Upon arriving in the winery, each cluster was destemmed and macerated for 14-24 hours; after being drained and pressed, the juice then settled for 48 hours. Using only free-run wine, it was then moved to stainless steel tanks for 6 months, cold stabilized and sterile filtered. Evaluated over 40 times by our winemaking team, only 334 cases were bottled.
Niçoise salad with tapenade and rosemary crackers
Citrus blossoms, white peach, chamomile and dried strawberries. Swirling adds spring flowers and sweetness to the citrus and stone fruits. The palate is silky, with a mouthwatering saline streak running through sweet stone fruit and a citrus marmalade finish.
100% Cabernet Franc
Fermented in 100% stainless steel. Aged for 6 months in stainless steel.
