How we release wines
Matthews releases new wines 6-8 times per year.
Each wine is released after our winemaking team feels it is in its optimal state for you.
After each vintage is bottled, we set aside your desired allocation for 6-12 months in our temperature controlled cellar. The wines are carefully evaluated over several months to ensure they are settling into harmony.
Once our winemaking team feels a wine is ready for release, we will send you a notification (by email) with its release date, along with an in-depth look at the careful decisions we made in crafting the wine.
Your wines can be shipped directly to you, or can be picked up at our Woodinville Tasting Room + Farm.
Every member has a login at our website, which empowers you to increase your allocation or edit your shipment information.
Each release is incredibly special for us, and it's a joy to share the wines with you. By becoming a member, you will never miss a vintage.

What does it cost to Join the wine club? Matthews membership is complimentary.

How and when will I be billed? Matthews will keep your credit card secured on file and will automatically charge your card for the wines and applicable taxes. You will be notified via email with a two-week reminder and a two-day reminder prior to your card being charged for each release. This is your opportunity to make changes to your allocation prior to your card processing date.

How many Releases per year? Members receive 6 - 8 allocations per year.

How do I redeem my monthly wine tastings? Redeem your wine tastings anytime during our regular tasting room hours at Studio 1886 or the Matthews Tasting Room + Farm. A person on the account must be present to redeem the tastings. Tock reservations are highly recommended.

How does shipping work? If you opt for shipping, your allocation will be shipped directly to you. Members receive free ground shipping on 3 bottles or more within network (out of network is a $30 flat rate). Signature of 21 and over is required upon arrival.

Is there a cancellation policy? By signing up for our wine club to receive member pricing, exclusive or priority access to limited production wines, invites to curated events & more, we kindly ask that you stay in our club for a minimum of one full year. In that year, members are allowed up to 3 skips of their 6-8 allocations. Cancellation prior to one year will be a $150 fee.

How do I make changes to my membership? You can make changes by calling 425-625-4785, emailing our team at hello@matthewswinery.com or by logging into your account.

Pick-up Policy Membership Allocations are guaranteed to be available for pick up in our Tasting Room for 60 days past the wine’s release date. After 60 days, if the wine is no longer available, you will have winery credit in the amount charged for your Membership Allocation to use in selecting replacement bottles from any of the currently available wines. If you don’t think you can make it into the Tasting Room during the 60-day window, then remember that shipping of 3 bottles or more is always free for Members with an in-network shipping address. This policy applies to “pick up” allocations only. Members who choose to have their allocations shipped are always guaranteed to receive their allocation.

Additional Shipping Details *Complimentary ground shipping of 3+ bottles to in-network states: CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, MN, MO, MT, NC, NV, NY, OH, OR, TX, VA & WA
*The following out-of-network states will be charged a flat $30 per shipment: AR, AZ, CT, DE, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, NE, NJ, NM, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, WI, WV & WY
*AK and HI are shipped 2-day Air and will receive a 35% discount on shipping rates of 3 bottles or more
*Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to AL, KY, MS, ND, NH, SD, UT & VTWine shipments are scheduled for Ground shipping, unless otherwise requested. We reserve the right to hold shipments due to temperature conditions until conditions change for favorable shipping. All members must take full responsibility for the condition of the wines as received if you choose not to follow the shipping guidelines as recommended by Matthews in regard to temperature conditions. Matthews will not ship to PO Boxes. Unfortunately, we do not cover the cost of returned and reshipped wine. All reshipped packages will have standard shipping charges applied. Any additional shipping charges incurred due to misdirected wines will be the members responsibility. All wine orders must be placed and received by adults 21 years or age or older. We do not ship to states where prohibited by law.
