Alcohol 14.5% Cases Produced 671 Vintage Notes The 2020 Matthews Red Mountain Cuvée comes from a couple of vineyards, Hedges and Red Mountain within the Red Mountain AVA. After hand-harvesting in the early fall mornings, the fruit was hand-sorted and fermented using both stainless-steel tanks and French oak barrels (8%). The free-run juice was cellared in French oak (63% new) for 20 months. This shows good concentration with chocolate covered black cherry flavors alongside wet rock, huckleberry compote, and shades of menthol with copious minerals on the palate.
